About Us
Founded in 1973, Billups-Rothenberg, Inc. (BRI) revolutionized the development of cost-effective tissue culture incubators. Nearly five decades later, our time-tested designs have set the global standard for hypoxic and physioxic experiments. These incubators are indispensable in key research areas including stem cell and malaria studies and are utilized in thousands of laboratories around the world. We currently offer a comprehensive assortment of O2/CO2 tissue culture incubators and auxiliary systems, designed to facilitate the creation of carefully controlled in vitro environments.
In 2021, BRI was acquired by Embrient Inc., a newly established entity committed to the ongoing distribution of BRI products as well as the development of innovative new products. The acquisition included the complete retention of BRI’s product suite and management team, ensuring continuity and stability in its operations.
